IRSC 2021
International Railway Safety Council Conference
- Railway safety & New challenge -
October 12-14, 2021

Welcome to the IRSC 2021 !

The International Railway Safety Council (IRSC) provides an international forum for an in-depth exchange of experience and lessons for improving railway safety. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) are delighted to be hosting the 31st IRSC in Korea.

Korea is a country with a dense railway network that is built with safety and trust.

Since launching high-speed railway service in 2004, Korea has made incredible strides to now have the world's fourth-fastest (421.4 km/h) and the worlds first railway system with LTE technology.

In Korea, railway is recognized as the safest and most convenient method of transportation. Over the past 17 years, Korea has achieved a dramatic decline in accident rates. The main reasons for the decrease in train accidents were investments in safety, nation-wide risk controls and a safety culture. These were influenced by sharing knowledge and experiences for rail industry.

Just as Korea has achieved many safety improvements, we want to share our experiences with other countries as well.

Join IRSC 2021 to share the rail safety industrys knowledge and innovation!
